By titling the work Kathy, doing homage to Kate Bush, Bertrand Lamarche seems consider weather as an intention, as a mood manifestation. By considering the phenomenon as something sentient, the work refers to omens and auguries. As often in Bertrand Lamarche's work, the device is a video installation that reproduces a tornado effect. Like a movie special-effect, the live-projection figures a twister that seems run through a landscape in the same time that it seems to destroy it. the black-lit tornade is encircled by a cloud of debris and dust.
